The Catholic Daughters of the Americas® (CDA) is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas. The organization was established in 1903 as an affiliate of the Knights of Columbus. Today there are 70,000+ dues-paying members in more than 1250 local courts in 46 states across the country and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Guam and the Virgin Islands.
The CDA motto is “Unity and Charity”. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness. Purple and gold are the colors of CDA.
Court Mary Queen of the Snows #1588 of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, Texas was organized on December 17, 1951, with the assistance of the Weimar CDA Degree Team. State Regent A. J. LeBlanc presided at the institution of the court which began with thirty (30) charter members. Today there are 150 members.
The Court meets the first Monday of the Months October – June, and last the Monday of August for September. Refreshments are served at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m.
